Thin double-sided tape for converting and lamination
3M 56412 is a 120 µm translucent double-sided adhesive tape with non-woven fabric backing, acrylic adhesive and PCK poly-coated kraft paper liner. The TNT stabilizes the adhesive film during handling and transformation, facilitating lamination, longitudinal cutting and die-cutting compared to a transfer adhesive without support.
Adhesion and workability
The high initial tack is also designed for low-energy or difficult-to-glue surfaces. The conformability helps contact over curves and slight irregularities, while the backing structure limits separation of the TNT during rework or removal. The coating process declared by 3M is solvent-free; the choice remains subject to the conditions of the application.
