Industrial foldable fastener with positive coupling
3M Dual Lock SJ3550CF uses polyolefin stems with mushroom heads that snap together with an audible click. The 250 type density offers approximately 39 stems/cm² and can be paired with the 170, 250 or 400 types to modulate the opening force.
Structure and performance
- black and indicative uncoupled thickness of 3.51 mm.
- Transparent acrylic adhesive for medium and high energy surfaces such as metals, glass, acrylic, polycarbonate and compatible ABS.
- Concealed, re-openable and vibration-resistant fixing, without visible screws or rivets.
- Approximate continuous thermal resistance up to 93 °C according to the 3M data sheet.
Typical applications
Removable panels, covers, plates, displays, electronic components, interior finishes and parts that require maintenance or repeated access.
Application check: dimension area, combination of stems and surface preparation on the actual load. 3M does not recommend 170/170 and 400/400 mating; the width and the converted format must be validated on the project.
