tesa 52118 — double-sided tape

tesa Softprint 52118 TP is a double-sided foam tape, specifically designed for mounting photopolymer plates with thickness of 1,14 mm (0,045") or 1,7 mm (0,067") in the flexographic printing of labels.

The unique properties of tesa 52118 Softprint x-soft 380 μm makes it the ideal choice for finer net printing, especially when using harder digital plates. In addition, extra padding allows higher printing speeds while reducing the side effects of the machine's so-called "bounce".

• Foam Properties: Extra soft foam is the ideal solution for mounting slabs in combination with harder digital plates (for finer mesh printing). Highly compressible foam, with excellent recovery capacity for superior printing quality. Long-lasting recovery features for long and high-speed runs. Low thickness tolerances for rapid printing preparation and waste reduction.
• Adhesive properties: secure fixing on sleeve/cylinder, with special properties for easy removal. Optimal adhesion to the plate to prevent edge lifting or slab displacement, with waste-free removal.
• Other features: the lineer structured in PP prevents the formation of air bubbles during the mounting of the plate. The yellow logo encoding on the back identifies the category of extra soft foam.
