tesa Softprint 52117 STM TP is a two-sided foam tape, specifically designed for mounting photopolymer plates with a thickness of 1,14 mm (0,045") or 1,7 mm (0,067") in the flexographic printing of labels.

Product characteristics

• Foam Properties: Highly Compressible Foam, with superior recovery behavior for excellent printing quality. Long-lasting recovery features for long and high-speed runs. Reduced thickness tolerances for rapid printing preparation and less waste.
• Adhesive properties: High adhesion on the open side to the cylinder or steel sleeve to avoid the displacement of the plate. Enough adhesion to the plate to avoid lifting the edges or moving the plate. Not growing and controlled adhesive power for easy repositioning and especially for easy removal of thinner plates. Very cohesive adhesive structure for removal without adhesive residues.
• Additional properties: The liner in PP structured prevents the formation of air bags during the assembly of the plate. The red colour indicates the soft foam.
• The soft foam makes this ideal solution for retinal prints and line work.
