tesa 52116 — double-sided tape

tesa Softprint 52116 STM TP is a double-sided foam tape, specifically designed for mounting photopolymer plates with a thickness of 1,14 mm (0,045") or 1,7 mm (0,067") in the flexographic printing of labels.

Medium density foam makes this tape the ideal compromise in the printing of solid bottoms, linear work and retinated with only one foam hardness.

Product characteristics

• Foam Properties: Highly Compressible Foam, with superior recovery behavior for excellent printing quality. Long-lasting recovery feature for extended and high-speed runs. Reduced thickness tolerances for rapid printing preparation and less waste.
• Adhesive properties: high adhesion on the open side to the steel cylinder or sleeve to avoid the movement of the plate. Enough adhesion to the plate to avoid lifting the edges or movement of the plate. Customized adhesion force, not increasing, to facilitate repositioning and especially the removal of thinner plates. Very cohesive adhesive structure for removal without adhesive residues.
• Additional properties: The liner in PP structured prevents the formation of air bubbles during the mounting of the plate. Purple color marking indicates average foam quality.
