tesa 51408 is a premium grade polyhydramide tape with silicone adhesive, specially developed to offer a solution for applications that require high resistance to high temperatures and chemical agents.
tesa 51408 is used in various applications, especially in wave welding, thermal insulation and cable winding, as well as as as masking during powder painting processes, where the tape allows clean color edges and offers excellent paint anchoring. The silicone adhesive system of the polyamide tape ensures high adhesive on different surfaces and makes the tape extremely heat resistant, bearing temperatures up to 260°C in continuous applications.
