3M 8992 — single adhesive tape
Our polyester ribbon 3M 8992 is a polyester ribbon for general use that excels in high temperature masking operations such as powder painting. Dressed with a silicone adhesive, this tape attaches itself to a variety of difficult surfaces. It is resistant to chemical agents and works in a wide range of temperatures and environments.
Product characteristics
- It works in challenging conditions and high temperatures ranging from -60o F (-50o C) to 400o F (204o C)
- Polyester film offers excellent thermal and chemical resistance while maintaining flexibility
- Translucent green support provides simple identification and positioning
- Silicone adhesive ensures clean removal from most surfaces
- Clean removal during high temperature masking operations such as powder coating
- Thicker version of polyester tape 3M 8991
