The preformed sealant strip 3M Scotch-Weld 5313 is a solid viscose extrusion based on a synthetic rubber. The resistance of the adhesive 5313, when put into tension, it is sufficient to cause the sealant to break cohesively before the loss of adhesion to the substrate.
