Saint-Gobain h-old 6.SL, registered in the registry as D6SL, is a technical single-sided adhesive tape with a 23 µm PET polyester film support and silicone adhesive. The green master roll measures 1000 mm × 66 m and is intended for transformation into widths suitable for the process.
Construction and performance
The declared total thickness is 0.055 mm. The silicone system offers good adhesion even on low surface energy materials, chemical resistance and clean removal from various compatible substrates.
High temperature masking
The official sheet indicates a thermal resistance in the range of 180–200 °C and proposes the product for powder coating operations. Temperature, cycle time, geometry and surface finish must be validated in real-world conditions.
Joining silicone materials
6.SL is suitable for joining silicone papers and films, where a conventional adhesive may offer insufficient bonding. It can also be evaluated for temporary protections and compatible technical masking.
Preparation and verification
Apply to clean, dry and contaminant-free surfaces. Before use, it is necessary to check adhesion, removal, any residues, chemical compatibility and behavior after the expected thermal cycle.
Format and transformation
The master format is a transformable reel of 1000 mm × 66 m. Finished width, tolerances, diameter and packaging are defined and confirmed before processing.
