Description and applications
Technical information for the product family, to be verified for the specific application.
Saint-Gobain h-old SCUT.36 is a single-sided adhesive tape with a 36 µm high-strength weldable copper backing, electrically conductive acrylic adhesive and silicone paper liner. The master roll measures 630 mm × 33 m.
Shielding and conductivity
SCUT.36 is designed for EMI/RFI electromagnetic and electrostatic shielding, charge dissipation and conductive continuity in compatible applications. The typical declared electrical resistance is 0.005 Ω.
Technical construction
The copper support is malleable and solderable; the conductive acrylic adhesive brings the total thickness to 0.075 mm. The product resists aging and UV rays and is UL recognized with file E506272.
Main applications
It can be used for wrapping cables, shielding of flexible circuits, coils and transformers, EMC protection of electronic components and conductive connections that require a conformable copper adhesive tape.
Preparation and verification
The surface must be clean, dry and free of oxidation or contaminants. Electrical continuity, overlaps, grounding, soldering, temperature and galvanic compatibility must be validated on the actual project.
Format and transformation
The 630 mm × 33 m reel can be cut into rolls, sheets or particular die-cut parts. Geometry, tolerances and packaging methods are defined before processing.
